Pregnancy Loss Awareness

Pregnancy loss is an area of reproductive health that doesn’t always get the recognition and support it deserves in the workplace, which often leaves those who have experienced it feeling isolated and unsupported. Because of this Wurkplace Wellbeing have designed this course to help raise awareness of what pregnancy loss is and the impacts this can have on those whom experience it. Furthermore, delegates will learn how to have supportive conversations and how to act as a source of support.

After attending the Pregnancy Loss Awareness course delegates will be able to:

•Explain what is meant by pregnancy loss: including miscarriage, molar pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, still birth, neo natal loss and termination for medical grounds.

• Identify the common impacts of loss on physical and mental health (including partners/family).

• Identify how the workplace can act as an effective source of support and know how to start a supportive conversation.

• Explain the importance of supporting self and/or colleagues and ways in which to achieve this.
