“Women of menopausal age (45-54) make up 11 percent of all people in employment and 23 per cent of all women in employment, which is 3.5 million women” according to the UK Labour Force Survey 2021. Therefore, Line Managers play a vital role in supporting colleagues with menopausal symptoms so this course perfect for Line Managers who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of menopause and develop their skills to provide effective support.

After attending the Menopause Awareness for Line Managers course you will be able to:

• Identify the common symptoms associated with the different stages of the menopause including: perimenopause, menopause and post menopause.

• Identify the misconceptions about the menopause and how this influences stigma.

• Understand the impact of menopause in the workplace for either self or for colleagues.

• Know how to start a supportive conversation about the menopause.

• Explain how the workplace can reduce the stigma surrounding menopause and what supportive practises can be utilised.

• Know how and where to seek signposting support.
