Mental Health Awareness For Line Managers

This course is suitable for Line Managers who are wanting to develop their skills and knowledge in mental health to ensure that they can effectively support their teams.

After attending the Line Manager course delegates will be able to:

• Define the terms mental health, poor mental health and mental ill health and know the difference between these.

• Explain what impact stigma can have on mental health and how as a Line Manager you can take action against this.

• Explain what is meant by stress and why it is important to manage stress.

• Identify the common signs and symptoms of mental ill health and mental distress.

• Know how to effectively support a colleague through connecting and communicating with them.

• Understand where to signpost for support both within the organisation and externally.
